As the owner of Northern flow studio, she aims to create a welcoming and inclusive studio environment, where everyone can explore the benefits of yoga and all other offerings regardless of their age, race, body type, or physical fitness. YOGA & MOVEMENT are for EVERYONE.

Her fascination with the human body has led her down various avenues of training to provide a wholesome and therapeutic experience through yoga, exercise, and bodywork.

Natalie has been teaching Yoga since 2018 and practicing since 2012. She holds a RYT-500hr certification through Yoga Alliance by combining her 200-hour classical Hatha yoga teacher training from Rishikesh India, and 300-hour training with Jules Mitchell Yoga. She regularly attends training, courses, and workshops to continue to grow as a teacher and practitioner. Her particular styles of practice are Hatha yoga, restorative yoga, Iyengar yoga and Ashtanga yoga.

In addition to teaching group classes, Natalie offers private sessions tailored to individual needs, as well as kinesiology/ personal training sessions for seniors. She continues to be an active Thai yoga massage practitioner over the last decade, acquiring her training in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Substitute instructors/ Kindred spirits

  • James Belisle

They say yoga comes into your life when you are ready. When that time came, James was inspired and introduced to the true depth of yoga by someone very dear to him, who truly lives and embodies the practice. James quickly became a dedicated practitioner, which was life-changing and transformational on every level -fostering profound benefits of peace, awareness, strength and alignment across physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
Primarily a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga, James has also been trained in Hatha, completing his 200Hr and 40Hr Restorative YTT at Octopus Garden in Toronto, where he was privileged to study under Pat Harada Linfoot, Darcie Ladd, Jenn Helland and Ron Reid. While continuing to learn from these mentors, as well as Rob Joanisse and Eddie Stern, James occasionally teaches at Northern Flow!

  • Amanda Brownlee

Amanda Brownlee is an energetic and positive presence who enjoys leading classes and individuals to their best selves through yoga. She earned her 200 hour YTT in 2019 and has since assisted with additional YTT programs, studied in India and is continues to refine and enhance her practice. Amanda can always be counted on to lead a vigorous class that challenges yogis of all levels. When she's not substituting for Rob, you can find her teaching hot yoga at Grounded Studios.

  • Aura Rapai

Aura is a certified fitness instructor and yoga teacher. She has been leading outdoor bootcamps, working alongside athletes and teaching various other group fitness classes for 7+ years. In 2017, Aura went to India to learn the art of Yoga through a 200Hr teacher training with Vinyasa Yoga School. Aura then returned in 2019, as a lead Vinyasa teacher in a 200hr YTT at Veda Yoga Ashram.
For Aura, movement is medicine but it’s in stillness, she believes, where all the magic happens. As a teacher, and human, Aura prides herself in being able to deeply appreciate and learn from everyone who crosses her path. Aura enjoys diversity in her classes and will incorporate different styles to create a class she feels is most effective for her student.
